Meet the Affinity Groups

  • Established in 2021 to support PCAs in their collective efforts to connect their community health centers (CHCs) to policy resources and expertise with strategic advocacy insights.

NPA provides essential support to PCAs, enhancing their capacity to advocate for and serve their CHC members effectively. This is crucial for the health and wellbeing of the communities they represent.

The NPA Steering Committee coordinates with NACHC and ACH on policy, advocacy strategy, and implementation.

All NPA members receive a weekly newsletter with political, policy, and regulatory information to stay informed and empowered to act.

    • Additional focused support may be selected via service packages at tiered levels of investment.

For questions about the NPA or the NPA newsletter, please contact Colleen@fachc.org.

  • The PCA VBC Collaborative’s mission is to advance value-based care through peer learning, sharing best practices, and leveraging collective resources.

Various Peer Groups are hosted to encourage collaborative learning, including Clinical Leaders, Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), APM, and CIN (Optimizing Your CIN) Peer Groups.

The PCA VBC Collaborative has curated and developed a wealth of resources and toolkits for PCAs and CHCs on various topics including but not limited to care delivery, technology, and performance, contracting, and partnership networks.

Member PCAs invest to support the costs of consultants with subject matter expertise and who facilitate and manage the Collaborative.

Learn more about the VBC Collaborative by contacting Ann Hutchison at ann@m-coconsulting.com or Joe Pierle at jpierle@mo-pca.org.

  • We are a group of PCAs, & Health Center Control Networks (HCCN) CEOs & staff from the 10 HRSA regions dedicated to leading & supporting capacity building efforts to be catalysts for systems change and thriving for communities.

The results of our work will manifest in improved health & well-being for our members, their patients & communities. We aim to cultivate a sense of belonging, improved work experience for our staff, CHC workforce, and improvement of the vital conditions and civic engagement in the communities we serve.

Members join a Monthly Learning Community to learn and discuss different topics. They collaborate in the development of tool kits, guides, and other materials for PCAs to share with their CHCs.

  • The CHC movement has expanded significantly over the past two decades, now serving over 30 million patients.

This growth brings challenges to maintaining a quality workforce amid expanded expectations.

Addressing workforce sustainability is crucial. To meet these challenges head one, the PCA LC established the workforce committee in early 2023. Since then, the committee has made continual progress towards five objectives:

    1. Helping to “shape” and promote Congressional funding and policy most relevant to CHC workforce needs,

    2. Using existing HRSA/BHW funding programs for CHCs to best advantage,

    3. Developing and implementing an effective on-going “mechanism” for dialoguing with BHW and BPHC leadership prior to the issuance of new workforce funding opportunities,

    4. Conducting “asset mapping” among the PCAs related to optimal workforce development resources (ie strategies, programs, funding), and

    5. Seeking national funding for PCA efforts (including this taskforce) related to CHC workforce development needs.

The Committee meets with PCA and CHC stakeholders (e.g., HRSA, NACHC) to explore collaborative opportunities.

Meetings are bi-monthly via Zoom and in-person at NACHC conferences. Membership is currently open to PCA CEOs and their workforce staff.
